Fallyn stalked among the grass until her massive paws suck into the soil; from this she knew that a pool of water was near by, and she was instantly intrigued. After the humans had brought her to the reserve, she began to travel in search of food and water, which she found plentiful and easy to access. Although she didn't care for its unfamiliar sites and feelings. She missed the rich sent of her group, the sunlit sight of glowing faces, the taste of the young mornings where small animals rustled about; this place was not home... She'd been there for only a few weeks, and felt as if she was always being watched; which set her on edge numerous times.
As she came face to face with the crystal water, she lowered her head and began lapping quietly at the water. After continuing this for a few minutes, she began to submerge her body into the beautiful liquid. The sunlight danced through the trees and shined like sparkling, newly polished diamonds on the surface. Her sky blue eyes glowed as she watched the wondrous sight before her; she'd never seen anything like this in her old life.
Fallyn's lips pursed into a smile as she exited the pool and stretched out onto its grassy banks. She inhaled the strong scent of a male, and knew that she was in a territory. This was exactly what the tigress was looking for, and she patiently awaited for her scent to be found on the wind, and followed to her destination.

Bengal brute moved swiftly through the terra, barely stopping to smell the flowers. The King was parched, nearly a day it had been since his tongue had been graced by the sweet water of the oasis. White ghost stalked through the terrain, winding his way through the grove before finally reaching the outskirts of the oasis. The trees seemed to part to allow the phantom passage into their depths. The wind was still on that placid day, and the King was unaware of the tresspasser in his midst. Carefully he meandered to the oasis' edge, allowing his pink tongue to lap furiously at the water's glassy surface.
It was then his two-toned eyes fell upon her, and his tongue froze mid-lap. She was beautiful, painted white with twinges of orange about her frame. It had been a while since he'd seen another tiger, much less a female. Heartbeat rose and fell as he calmed himself. Rising to his paws, he slipped into the water like a ghost and swam seamlessly toward her. Though his paws moved beneath the surface, he appeared to glide like a duck. Blue and silver eyes gazed toward her as he neared, treading water a few yards away.
"Greetings, stranger. I am Arcturus, King of these lands. Might I ask your name?"
He was unusually calm in the presence of a stranger, especially one who had entered without permission. Perhaps it was that he'd not seen anyone for days, or perhaps still because fate had looked upon him and graced him with today's good mood. Whatever the cause, the King relaxed in the water and awaited her speech.

Fallyn smiled warmly upon the sight of the King. She rose to her paws and dipped her head respectfully. He was overly handsome and his voice could only widen her sweet smile.
"I am honored to be in your presence, King Arcturus. I'm Fallyn."
Fallyn's sky orbs gazed upon the King, taking in all of his noble features. His eyes were a brilliant, intriguing orange, and his stocky figure appeared to be muscular and fit. His medium-brown stripes only added to his brilliantly colored white coat. Everything about him was inviting in her mind. She flicked her tail with patience and curiosity as she continued to gaze upon him. Perhaps he was the only tiger in the territory? By the scents, it seemed like it.
"Were you captured by humans as well?"
Her voice was almost like a sweet tune, but near the end, it became a tad harsh with anger at the mention of the humans. They'd recklessly murdered her life, and had even had the stolen nerve to bore her away from the lands she loved to roam. It was sickening to her; how they could take a tigress from her lovely home, and butcher the ones around her. For a split second, her eyes were drowned in overwhelming sorrow. She straightened herself and awaited for his voice to calm her once again.

The phantom gazed about her, the water cool and inviting to his body. The temperatures weren't overly hot, he'd seen much worse, but they weren't as cold as he sometimes preferred them either. Nevertheless, as much as he hated to admit, he could not change the weather. Arcturus nodded his head as she did so, and smiled broadly as her voice broke the silence. It was angelic, in a way, and so was she.
Blue and silver two-toned eyes sparkled in the sunlight as he listened to the second part of her speech. She appeared angered by the humans, and the King wondered vaguely what it would be like to be transported to a foreign land. His great grandfather had been transported, yet he had been born here. This place was the only home he'd known, and that increased his loyalty to the Northern Tribe.
"I was born here, i'm a descendent of the first tigers to be moved here by the humans."
He paused for a moment, trying to decide how best to go about what he wanted to say.
"I'm sorry they removed you from your home, but I can't say I'm not glad for a bit of company, Fallyn. You see, no one else has wandered into my land as of yet."
It was true, he had been utterly lonely for the past few years, occasionally running into a rogue or two, but never having anyone join his own land. It had only been a few months since he'd claimed this place as King, but he'd expected many members before now. As his eyes prized over her once more, he was glad she was here, and glad she'd chosen to venture here, rather than stay in the rogue lands which some preferred.

"The humans were vicious to my family. They murdered everyone I loved..." Fallyn's orbs were once again strickened with swelling pain that seemed to intensify at the memory. She hated them all, and would gladly take a humans life. Her ears perked up as he mentioned he was glad of the company, and she was also glad for the company. Even though she'd only been without company for a few weeks, she'd never known a life without it."I'm glad of your company as well, King Arcturus. I've only been without company for a few weeks, but for one whose known the life of a wild tiger, it's unnatural and sorrowful."Her voice had once again returned to its natural melody, and the presence of Arcturus continued to soothe her mind. She didn't know what about him was giving her this effect, but she longed for it to continue. She placed a genuine smile upon her face and began to saunter into the water, her steps light and precise. She lapped at the water for about three seconds before she set herself closer to him. She heaved a heavy sigh as the water calmed her. Fallyn waded in the oasis until her the bottom of her stomach was touching the surface of the cool water. Her scar a reminder of the cruelty of the humans. She didn't know if she could ever find the strength to forgive the monsters...

The King sunk a bit lower. Allowing the cool water to envelop him in it's refreshing glory. His white fur plastered to his muscular frame, but it didn't bother him. He was born for the water, an aqua feline through and through. If there was anything he was more a fan of than trees, it was water. As he cooled off and relaxed, he listened to her speak, a bit confused. How could it be that the humans had spared his ancestors, and killed her family? It was perplexing. He didn't know whether to trust them or not, and preferred not to. Eyes shifted as she lapped some water and spoke again.
"Please, call me Arc."
He usually went by Arc, Arcturus being his full and official name. Arc just seemed to suit him better somehow, and the brute preferred it. A smile graced his lips and he spoke again.
"Fallyn, how would you like to call this land home?"
As he asked this, he began to ponder ranks. Where would she fit in? Perhaps she would make a nice lead hunter, or even a duchess if she so desired. Yes, subsea would suit the lovely female just perfectly. It was a high position, highest of the non-royal tribe members, and the fact that he'd even considered it meant he already trusted her at least somewhat.

Fallyn acknowledged his wish with a dip of her head. As Arc began to speak of this as a new home, she smiled.
"It would be an honor to call a place home once again."
She turned to him, her eyes glowing brilliantly under the dancing rays of the sun. She wondered how much he could truly read of her excitement on this offer. Her thoughts blew through her mind quickly as she began to speak again.
"Perhaps more will soon follow in my steps and find their way here. Perhaps they'll be able to call this home."
She held herself like she used to, full of pride and wonder. She stood like a beautiful yet powerful silhouette in the oasis, gazing ahead of her, and wondering how much she needed to learn of his ways.
"How much new is there to learn, Arc?"
Fallyn gazed at him and smiled, curious of the ways he lived. She gracefully exited the pool, the crystal tears of water dripping in rhythm from her pelt. She shook her coat from the excess water and turned to wait for Arc.
"Care to show me around?"
Fallyn sat graciously and wrapped her tail around herself, her sky blue eyes warm and trusting. Perhaps she could really call this place home afterall...

As she spoke he sensed the excitement of her lyrics. He too was excited, but the normally melodramatic King didn't show it much. As her ivory mouth parted again, she brought death to a few of his fears. Hopefully more would come, and he would rule a land flourishing with cats. Only time would tell. Fallyn spoke again of learning things, and he pondered this for a moment, speaking as she exited the pool of water.
"There are not many new things to learn. To the west is a territory ruled by a single queen. I know not of her ways, but for now all is quiet. My rule is very casual, as I prefer to gain respect rather than demand it."
More information would come as the day went on, but the King had digressed enough. Following suit, the phantom slipped from the pool of water as the droplets cascaded off of his ivory frame. He shook lightly and stepped up beside her.
"I'd be delighted to show you around. Where we stand is the oasis, our main source of water. To the south is the grove where I usually spend most of my time, and even farther south of that is the meadow where I do my hunting."
He smiled and took a casual step forward.
"Care to see?"
It was a rather easy question, and he already knew the answer. He flicked his rail once and strode forward, knowing she'd follow. His paws knew the way well, and he headed confidently toward his favorite place, the grove.

"Of course."
The light-stepped tigress followed Arc with pleasure, her frame aligning up to the left side of his chassis. She glanced around, sky-blue orbs filled with wonder while watching her new surroundings. She matched his stride and the questions continued to take over her open mind, although she'd save most for new dawns and nights.
"What rank suits me for your Tribe?"
She turned her snowy head towards him and gave a melodic smile before returning it to its forward position. Arc seemed genuine, bold, a leader, maybe even better than her troubled father. Fallyn longed for his voice to flow through her ears once again, and to hear his worries be cared for and to settle. She was always the one to give him advice, and it never failed. There was much more than just his voice that she longed for however...
The sweet scents of there land, the morning golden globe rising from the earth, the rustling of other animals, the morning call of her father, the voices of friends and family, the sound of newly born pups squeaking for their mother, the touch of her mates fur...the beautiful words he'd spoken to her, the everything she once had that she couldn't say she held dearly now...
She dared a crystal tear to escape from her glowing orbs. No matter how hard she tried to hold it in, a single tear cascaded from her right eye, but there was no trace of sorrow on her figure; this she managed to keep up-beat and clear of emotions now.

As they strolled toward the outskirts of the oasis, a sense of pride bubbled up in his chest. Here was the first member of his tribe, and he was about to show her the land. Incredible happiness was shown on his face, and in his dual toned eyes. Her white silhouette bobbed fluidly beside his own phantom frame as they marched along, her words echoing to his ears.
"I was thinking that you'd do well as my Duchess. It's a high rank, but I'm positive you'd live up to my standards. What do you think?"
As he finished speaking they entered the treeline that distinguished the grove. This was probably his favorite land, because of the low-lying spindly trees who's branches interlocked and wound securely a few feet above them. Though many didn't see the possibilities of this area, Arc had turned it into his own personal haven. The dirt floor was clean and clear due to the thick canopy above not allowing any smaller vegetation.
He ceased walking, and rose to his back paws, climbing into the winding trees at a low area, and hoisting his frame upward. He stood precariously on the limbs, though they did not falter or bend beneath his weight. Arcturus smiled down at her and spoke.
"This is the grove, it's my favorite place to relax. These trees are so interlocked they can handle enormous weights, and they are comfortable to lay in. Sometimes the wind whips through here and cools you off during the cooler hours."
A soft purr escaped him as he rested his chest and stomach on a particularly thick branch, and allowed his limbs to hang off of each side. He shifted his gaze to her and grinned pleasently.

Fallyn glanced around with overwhelming joy as Arc spoke of the grove. It was like a heaven for her, and she instantly knew that this was where she was destined to stay. She gazed up at him and smiled, rising up on her haunches and scaling the tree until she came to rest on a limb next to Arc. Her limbs hung off the right side of the tree, and her tail flicked back and forth as she closed her eyes and breathed softly.
"I'd be honored to have the rank, and I won't fail you."
She opened her eyes and smiled, her elegant body almost a mold with the tree. She could tell why this was Arcs favorite place; it was hers as well now. Aside from the Oasis of course. Her sky orbs continued to flick back and forth from drowsiness, but she found the will to keep them opened. There was so much to take in, and her curiosity kept her awake.
This was her heaven, its beauty never escaped her mind. She rested her head in front of her, eyes beaming brilliantly; all nightmare-memories fading away with the sight of this sacred haven. She wondered if the humans built it, or if it formed miraculously by itself. She'd heard the humans speak of this place as a reserve, another word for captivity she'd presumed.

He rubbed his chin lightly on the limb beneath him, watching out of the corner of his blue eye as she scaled the tree with ease. He was happy she was home here. Another purr escaped him as she agreed to take the title of duchess. It would certainly suit her by looks alone. She was very beautiful. They both were. Two rare jewels hidden in a heaven of vines and limbs. His black tipped tail flicked her hip gently as he spoke.
"Welcome home, Fallyn; Duchess of the Northern Tribe."
Tilting his head, his blue eye fell upon her, a pleasent smile on his face. It was wonderful to have the company of another, and hopefully soon there would be many others to lounge about the vast expanse of the grove. Raising his right paw onto the limb, his tongue graced it's surface, smoothing the fur down and removing any debris. When he was through, his voice filled the air again, adding to the chorus of birds and other creatures.
"I was going to show you the meadow, but I think we're enjoying ourselves here. The meadow is south of here a short way. I do most of my hunting there, as the larger prey tends to stop and feed on the tall grass."
He thought mildly of hunting, it had been a day or so since he'd taken down a considerable meal, but the comforts of the mossy limbs beneath him and the air flowing around him was far too pleasent to leave. His eyes shut closed, but he was far from asleep.

Fallyn's ears focused on him as he spoke her name, and she smiled as his tail flicked her hip, and she returned it playfully. Her eyes opened to find his closed and she knew that they were both lost in the comfort of the Grove. Her melodic voice echoed.
"I could stay here until death found me."
She joked quietly, glowing orbs still open to the world. Her breathing was full of patience and sound calmness as she continued to watch her surroundings. There were many places to rest in trees, and scents of floral flowers filled her nostrils brightly, which only added to her newly found happiness. She wondered how long Arcturus had been here without company, how long had it been since he had something to care for? It must have been a lonely time... she thought as she turned her head to lick her side of a few sprinkles of dried mud that must have come from the Oasis. She licked her side until it was spotless of the sediment, and then turned to focus her attention back to Arc, who was still resting silently. He was truly handsome, truly genuine. She felt complete when she was in his presence.

[bg=000000][atrb=width,295,true][atrb=border,0,true] As she returned his tail flick he smiled gently. It was lovely to not live a solitary life any longer. Some had told him that that's how tigers usually live in the wild, but wasn't he wild? His great grandfather had been captive, but he'd been born and raised here, therefore he was wild. So why did they say such things? Nevertheless, the King rubbed his chin again on the tree as she spoke, a purr escalating from his chest.
"I could as well.."
It was strange, how comfortable he felt around her. It was as if he desired so much to see her smile, and yet, he couldn't stop smiling around her. His tail curled and uncurled around the branch as his blue eye gazed over at her, noting that she too appeared rather comfortable in a strange land. Could he have a calming effect on her like she did him? Though he lay still, his heart beat fast. White fur glowed gently in the dim light, and hers did the same. It had been ages since he'd seen another, and to run into a white tiger as well! Excitement riddled his frame as he lay there, listening to the wind dance through the trees and tickle his skin.
"So Fallyn... tell me about yourself."

As the handsome, genuine king asked her about herself, she frowned lightly.
"I hope you are one to understand sorrowful stories."
She flicked her tail back and forth silently as she contemplated on where to begin. Perhaps as a young cub, and her triumphs and tragedies?
"I was an ambitious cub. I always wanted what others told me I couldn't have, or achieve."
She smiled fondly as she replayed memories of her and her siblings tumbling around in the dirt outside of the den. She could still feel the warmth of her mothers her, and she closed her eyes dearly.
"I grew up quickly, matured faster than the rest of my beloved siblings. I was heir to our Tribe..."
Fallyn's smiled soon died away, remembering how her perfect life died away right before her wondrous eyes...
"I found a mate, and I loved him dearly..."
Her eyelids were heavy, keeping them shut as a single, crystal tear cascaded down her cheek. She layed her head gently on her paws, and her tail fell limply to her leg.
"But it was all to good to last. One fine dawn, only a few weeks ago, we were awoke to the sounds of angry jeeps and echoing bullets. Panicking roars and cries of cubs could be heard throughout the skies, and we ran..."
The once beautiful face of the Tigress became angry and hateful. She unsheathed her claws and they etched into the limb evily. Her eyes jolted open, and they were deepened with petrify.
"They shot us. They murdered us. My loved ones fell around me. I was one of the very few left...why hadn't they killed me as well, Arc?"
Her glassy orbs were filled with hurt and despair as she turned her snowy-head to Arc. She longed for everything to come back, but it never would...
"I hate the humans. I wish to murder them and take their loved ones. Just like they did to me. Terrible thing to say, isn't it?"
